A Whoops happened on my way here--my files for Take a Leap are on an old computer, and it's sick. Poor thing. I wrote it under the name Jewell, but now I'm Jo, and this site is https://www.travelingwithjo.com. But we're dreamers. We ride to castles in the sky. And we're tough enough to jump out of the bucket.

You know the phenomenon of the crabs; if one tries to crawl out of a bucket other crabs also in the bucket will try to pull him back in.

It's often the same with people. You try to break out of the mold, and your friends, family, etc, will try to talk you out of it. "It's too risky. You'll never be accepted. You're too old. What did you go to school for all those years? To paint?! How absurd."

I don't have that trouble, but it's scary whenever you decide to leap from a comfort zone.
